Capital Flow

Capflow is a common name for the first extension of the market profile. It comes from the concept of watching the capital flow in and out of the market with half hour price distribution charts in a similar fashion to the way a pit trader sees markets ebb and flow in the pit.

Profile Charts

Finding profile charts can be difficult and not all charting packages include the format. I'm happy to recommend a software package called Market Analyst Software.

It delivers a profile encompassing as much data as you nominate. So it doesn't limit the profile to day shapes only, which is really important when using Capflow techniques.
